NEET 2023: Tips and techniques to prepare and ace NTA NEET UG

By India Today Web Desk: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NEET 2023 on May 7th this year. As there are only 4 months remaining for the highly competitive National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), it is time for students to gear up and push their preparations in order to ace the medical entrance exam.

NEET is a national-level entrance exam for students to get admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH & other nursing courses provided by top medical colleges/ universities in India. The application process for this year’s exam has already started with the students required to register for the exam before the last week of January.


The highly competitive entrance exam is conducted in offline mode with the question paper consisting of 200 MCQ questions, of which the candidates have to attempt 180 only. Every aspirant will earn 4 marks for every correct answer and a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.


The NEET UG Exam covers three disciplines: physics, chemistry, and biology (Botany & Zoology) with the syllabus covering the entire NCERT curriculum for Classes XI and XII and making it important for candidates to ensure their grip on the fundamentals of science learned in previous classes.


HERE ARE SOME TIPS AND TECHNIQUES TO ACE NEET 2023:

1. REVIEWING ALL THE FUNDAMENTALS- The majority of the applicants’ attention should be focused on graphs, flow charts, and diagrams. In order to prepare and revise at the last-minute, make a list of all the important equations, theorems, and flowcharts on a whiteboard or chart paper.


2. CHOOSE THE STUDY MATERIAL THAT SUITS YOU- Up to 90% of the questions in previous NEET question papers were taken directly from NCERT texts. Along with a study schedule, the appropriate books are required to ace the exam. It is necessary to master the NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 books. It is also advised that the candidates should stick to thoroughly reviewing these books rather than going to more complicated ones. Read More
